Please note: budget air pumps can get loud at times, so will need exact installation and might need some additional noise reduction measures. If you are looking for whisper silent air pumps, we advise to look at pumps by Eheim or Oase.

For best results it is advisable to install the air pump above the tank for optimal power. In cases were this is not possible (for example in an aquarium cabinet) it is important to install a non-return valve to avoid accidental water drain in case of a malfunction or power cut.
