Aquacadabra Barley Straw Pond – Triple Pack offers a natural and effective way to maintain clear water in your pond. With added lavender and marigold, it controls all types of algae while being safe for all aquatic plants, fish, animals, and wildlife.

Recommended by the Centre for Aquatic Plant Management, barley straw has been trusted since the early 1990s in England for managing algal growth. It prevents new algae from forming, avoiding the harmful effects of chemical treatments that can impact water quality and fish health.

Simply add the barley straw pads to your pond. Each pad provides up to four months of protection for ponds up to 3000 litres. The slow-release action allows for natural die-off of algae, enhancing water clarity and quality without the risks associated with algaecides.

Directions for Use:

Remove any visible algae before adding the pad. Place in a well-circulated area of the pond. For heavy infestations, use two pads initially to get the growth under control. The pads can be placed in filters, ensuring they are submerged and non-obstructive. Pumps should run 24/7 for optimal results. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for the pad to become fully active. Replace pads every 3 to 4 months or as needed.
