Active Constituents:
15.5 mg/g IVERMECTIN
77.5 mg/g PRAZIQUANTEL
Dosage & Administration:
iMEC with TAPE Broad Spectrum Antiparasitic Paste for Horses is given orally at the recommended dose level of 200g ivermectin/kg and 1mg/kg praziquantel liveweight.
The contents of this syringe will treat one horse of 600kg liveweight.
Each weight marking on the syringe plunger will deliver 1.29g of paste which is sufficient to treat 100kg live weight.
Unlock the knurled ring by making turn to left and slide it up the plunger shaft so that the side nearest the barrel is at prescribed weight marking. Turn the knurled ring turn to the right to lock in place. Remove the plastic cap from the tip of the nozzle. Make sure the horses mouth does not contain feed. Insert the syringe into the side of as horses mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth. Advance the plunger as far as it will go depositing the paste on the rear of the tongue. Immediately raise the horses head for few seconds after dosing to ensure the full dose has been swallowed.
Use at the correct weight-based dose. There is no blanket use every X weeks rule printed on the label instead iMEC should be used as part of a monitored parasite-control plan. For many adult horses with good pasture management, one treatment in spring and one in late summer/early autumn will suffice, provided a broad-spectrum product (with tapeworm activity) is used. Horses at higher risk should be assessed by your equine veterinarian, and faecal egg-counts and management factors considered, before deciding on additional treatments
Product Advantages:
Broad Spectrum: iMEC with TAPE kills all the important internal parasites of horses, including the arterial stages of S.vulgaris and bots with a single, low volume, easy to administer dose. Because reinfection is common, treatment must be repeated routinely for effective control.
Safety to Horses: Ivermectin and Praziquantel have wide safety margin at recommended dose level. They may be used in horses of all ages. Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy. Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.
