Dosage and Administration:
iMEC BROAD SPECTRUM WORMER AND BOTICIDE FOR HORSES is given orally at the recommended dose level of 200g ivermectin/ kg liveweight. The contents of this syringe will treat one horse of 700kg or 2 x 350kg ponies. Each weight marking on the syringe plunger will deliver 1.07g of paste which is sufficient to treat 100kg live weight.
Use at the correct weight-based dose. There is no blanket use every X weeks rule printed on the label instead iMEC should be used as part of a monitored parasite-control plan. For many adult horses with good pasture management, one treatment in spring and one in late summer/early autumn will suffice, provided a broad-spectrum product (with tapeworm activity) is used. Horses at higher risk should be assessed by your equine veterinarian, and faecal egg-counts and management factors considered, before deciding on additional treatments
