Worma Paste for Horses 56g

Worma Paste is a broad-spectrum oral paste wormer for horses of all ages. It provides reliable control of a wide range of stomach and intestinal worms and helps reduce pasture recontamination by sterilising worm eggs within 24 hours of administration. This makes it especially useful for horses entering new environments, such as mares being sent to stud or horses turned out for spelling.

Treats and Controls:

Worma Paste provides superior control of:

• Large roundworms (Parascaris equorum) adult and immature forms
• Pinworms (Oxyuris equi)
• Large strongyles (Strongylus spp.)
• Adult stomach hairworm (Trichostrongylus axei)
• Adult stomach worm (Habronema microstoma)
• Small strongyles (Cyathostomes)

It also kills tissue stages of Strongylus edentatus and assists in controlling migrating stages of Strongylus vulgaris, helping reduce associated arterial lesions.

Two doses given two days apart improve efficacy against migrating strongyles and can help reduce the risk of associated colic.

Oral paste in a dial-a-dose syringe.

Dose and Administration:

Dose according to bodyweight by setting the plunger ring to the required bodyweight on the syringe. The syringe is calibrated in 50 kg increments.

Each 56 g syringe contains enough Worma Paste to treat a 600 kg horse.

• Place the syringe on the back of the horses tongue (not between the teeth and cheek).
• Depress the plunger fully.
• Hold the horses head elevated and mouth closed until the dose is swallowed.

For enhanced efficacy against migrating strongyles, administer two doses two days apart.

Important Notes:

Internal parasites can develop resistance to anthelmintics. To minimise resistance, use good pasture management practices and rotate between different classes of wormers.
