The Catappa bark tubes reduce pH and provide natural tannins that mimic natural waters found in the wild. The bark will sink to the bottom of the tank. Each piece will vary in size and color a little but average 5-6 inches long and .75 inches wide. The bark give off natural acids and as is softens can be a source of food for shrimp. Bark tubes are for ornamental fish use only.
