Freshwater Aquarium Salt

Cobalt AquaticsAquarium Saltis used to help reduce stress of freshwater fish by helping fish”slime up” and replenishes natural electrolytes. It may also be used to temporarily block the toxiceffects of elevated levels of nitrite in the aquariumwater. Unlike table salt contains no artificialcolor or iodine.

TROPICAL OR GOLDFISH AQUARIUM

For Tropical or Goldfish display aquarium, mix 1 Tbsp of CobaltAquarium Salt for every 5 gallons of water.

TROPICAL OR GOLDFISH BATH
To treat your fish for external parasites (Tricodina, Ichthyobodo, orEpistylis), mix 1 to 4 Tbsp of Cobalt Aquarium Salt per gallon ofdechlorinated water that is the same temperature as the aquarium.Dip the fish in the bath for 5-10mins. When dip is completed,acclimate the fish by diluting the bath to double the original bathvolume with dechlorinated water over a 2-3 minute span, then returnfish to the aquarium. Bath may be repeated in 24 hours.

BETTA FISH AQUARIUM
To treat your main Betta display aquarium, mix 1/2 Tbsp of CobaltAquarium Salt for every 5 gallons of water.

HERMIT CRAB SHALLOW BATH
Stir 1 tsp Cobalt Aquarium Salt per 1 cup of dechlorinated water. Useas much water as needed to fill your shallow dish and leave inhabitat. At any time, if excessive food or other waste collects in thesalt bath, clean the dish,and replace the salt bath solution. Do not letbath dry out.
Be sure to remember that hermit crabs require both a freshwatersupply and a salt bath. A source of fresh water is always required.
