Simply put the new media of your choice inside the bag, rinse briefly, and place it carefully into your filter. Avoid overfilling the media bag to allow efficient water flow and prevent clumping.

While Aqua One’s netting bags don’t add a direct filtration benefit, they significantly ease the cleaning process and manage unruly filter media.

When cleaning your filter, remove the old media from the net bag and give the bag a rinse under running tap water. Adsorptive media like Premium Carbon should be replaced every month to six weeks, while the Aqua One net bag can last through several filter cleanouts if not overfilled.
