Seachem Matrix Carbon is a premium spherical activated carbon designed for maximum efficiency in aquarium filtration. Its bead shape prevents packing, allowing optimal water flow and contact with a high density of macroporous binding sites. Matrix Carbon has extremely low ash content, making it pH-neutral, and contains the lowest detectable leachable phosphate of all major carbon brands tested. It removes organic waste, discolouration, and odours more effectively than most high-grade carbons.
